Specialized freight
Livestock hauling factoring
Cattle work runs on nights, weekends, and private customers. Get paid the same day on loads in by 11 AM CST instead of waiting on a sale barn's settlement.

Cattle hauling is seasonal and the runs come in bursts. There is no minimum volume and no monthly commitment, and you can factor the order buyer who pays in forty days while invoicing the feedyard who pays in ten yourself.
The cash cycle
Why livestock freight waits.
Livestock is the least standardized freight in trucking and its payment culture reflects that. A meaningful share of the work comes from private parties, order buyers, and ranchers rather than from brokers with a formal payables process, and their invoices get paid when they get paid. The freight itself runs on the animals' schedule: nights, weekends, and holidays, whenever the pens are ready and the weather allows.
The cost structure is unusual too. Washouts between loads are mandatory and frequent, deadhead is often unavoidable because a cattle pot is not going to pick up a return load of anything else, and the equipment is expensive and single-purpose. That is a lot of money to have moving through a business whose customers include people who write checks by hand.
The BulkLoads family has been in livestock since Livestock Loads started in 2000, which is a long time to learn how these settlements actually work. Factoring a livestock load here is not an exception being made for unusual freight; it is freight the company already understands.
What rides in it

Who pays the invoice
Feedyards, sale barns and auction markets, packers, order buyers, ranchers, and livestock brokers.
This is what actually gets underwritten. Approval depends on your customer’s credit, not on your operating history.
Paperwork
What to send with the load.
Send all the paperwork related to the load. What that includes depends on the customer; these are the most common. Upload it all to the Smart Freight Portal.
Rate confirmation
The agreement with the broker or shipper, showing the load and the agreed rate.
Scale tickets
The weights, on any load that is weighed or paid by weight.
Bill of lading
Signed at delivery. It is the proof the load moved.
Not sure what a customer needs? Call and ask before you haul it.
How it works
Haul it, send it, get paid.
- 01Monday, 9:40 AM
Haul the load
Book it wherever you book freight. You choose which customers you factor, customer by customer. Nothing obligates you to send us all of them.
- 02Monday, 10:15 AM
Send the paperwork
Upload all the paperwork for the load to the Smart Freight Portal: usually the rate confirmation, scale tickets and bill of lading.
- 03Monday afternoon
Get paid the same day
Loads submitted by 11 AM CST, Monday through Friday, are paid the same day. Loads submitted after 11 AM are paid the next business day. The money lands in your bank by ACH.
Questions
Livestock factoring, answered.
Can I factor an invoice owed by a rancher rather than a broker?
It depends on the customer's credit, which is what gets underwritten regardless of whether they are a broker, a feedyard, or a private party. Call before you haul it and we will check the customer, which is the same reason the approved list exists.
Do you understand livestock settlements?
Yes. Livestock Loads, the original livestock load board, is part of this family, so head counts, in and out weights, and sale barn settlement timing are familiar rather than an unusual document set that has to be explained.
Get your livestock invoices paid the same day.
The application takes a few minutes and commits you to nothing. No contract, no minimum, no monthly commitment.
