Factoring for carriers & owner operators

One truck or fifty. Same terms either way.

Freight factoring for owner operators and fleets. Haul the load, upload the paperwork to the Smart Freight Portal, and get paid the same day when it's in by 11 AM CST. No contract, and no minimum on how much you factor.

What makes this different

We will never ask you to sign a contract.

No contracts. Ever.

Nothing to sign that locks you in, no notice period and no early termination fee. If you want to stop using us, you stop. We factor with recourse, which is why we never need to lock you in.

No minimums

No minimum number of loads, no minimum dollar volume, no monthly commitment. A quiet month costs you nothing.

No hidden fees

No ACH fee, no invoicing charge, no monthly service fee. The rate you are quoted is the cost.

What that actually costs you, in plain numbers

Who this is for

Built for the operations that feel it most.

Cash flow pressure is not evenly distributed. It falls hardest on the carriers with the fewest trucks and the least room to wait.

Owner operators

One truck, one invoice at a time. There is no minimum volume and no monthly minimum, so a slow week costs you nothing.

Small fleets

Two to fifty trucks. Your accountant knows your drivers and your customers, and the same person picks up when you call about any of them.

Bulk carriers

Hopper bottom, end dump, pneumatic, walking floor. This is the freight the company was built around and the credit we know best.

Every other trailer type

We are not just bulk, we factor all trailer types and any freight. Flatbed, reefer, van, livestock, tanker: if it moves and it is invoiced, we fund it.

How it works

Haul it, send it, get paid.

  1. 01Monday, 9:40 AM

    Haul the load

Book it wherever you book freight. You choose which customers you factor, customer by customer. Nothing obligates you to send us all of them.

  2. 02Monday, 10:15 AM

    Send the paperwork

Upload all the paperwork for the load to the Smart Freight Portal: usually the rate confirmation, scale tickets and bill of lading.

  3. 03Monday afternoon

    Get paid the same day

Loads submitted by 11 AM CST, Monday through Friday, are paid the same day. Loads submitted after 11 AM are paid the next business day. The money lands in your bank by ACH.

Qualifying

What will not disqualify you.

The six things carriers most often assume rule them out, and why they do not. Most people who decide not to call would have qualified.

We underwrite your customer's credit, not yours

The invoice is only worth what the broker or shipper will pay, so that is what gets checked. Your own credit score is not the deciding factor, and there is no personal guarantee against your house.

A new authority is fine

Being freshly authorized is not a reason to be turned down. Plenty of clients started factoring in their first month of operating, which is usually when the cash gap is at its worst.

One truck is enough

There is no minimum fleet size and no minimum volume. A single owner operator gets the same assigned accountant and the same funding schedule as a fleet of fifty.

You do not have to factor everything

You choose which customers you factor and which you invoice yourself. Most carriers factor the slow payers and handle the fast ones in house. Once you factor a customer they receive a notice of assignment and all of their loads come to us; to bill them yourself again, ask us to release it.

An existing contract may not be a wall

If you are locked in with another company, we sometimes offer contract buyouts. Call and describe what you are in before you assume it cannot be done.

You do not have to be tech savvy

Paperwork goes through the Smart Freight Portal: upload it and send. There are training videos, and live support answers the phone every day of the week.

Approval, advance rates, and terms depend on the creditworthiness of your customers and are confirmed in writing before you factor your first load.

Carrier questions

Asked before applying.

Can an owner operator with one truck use factoring?

Yes. There is no minimum fleet size, no minimum volume, and no monthly commitment. A single owner operator sends the same three documents and is funded on the same schedule as a fifty-truck fleet.

Will factoring hurt my credit?

Factoring is not a loan, so it does not add debt to your business. What gets underwritten is the creditworthiness of the broker or shipper who owes the invoice, rather than your own credit history.

How fast do I get paid?

Loads submitted by 11 AM CST, Monday through Friday, are paid the same day. Loads submitted after 11 AM are paid the next business day. Funds arrive by ACH with no transfer fee.

What if I only want to factor a few loads a month?

That is fine and it costs nothing extra. There is no minimum load count, no minimum dollar volume, and no monthly commitment, so factoring two loads in a month is a normal month rather than a shortfall.

Rather just ask

Five minutes on the phone.

Faster than reading another factoring website, and a real person answers every time.
